Emergency Information
    FIRE ALARM:
Upon hearing the fire alarm students should stop all activities and calmly line up at the West door of the   gymnasium. There is to be NO talking in line. Each class has a designated fire alarm door holder and line  leader. Upon your signal students will begin to exit the building and walk towards their designated space on the West side of the playground. Be sure that the gym is clear of all students before you join the back of the line. Also, be sure to grab the red, emergency backpack hanging near the doorway (class rosters are included inside the backpack.

Once outside in line, be sure to check that all students are present, and send a child to report your attendance status to Ms. Kinzer.

    EARTHQUAKE:
Have students get to the two safest corners (SE & SW) of the gymnasium as quickly as possible. Everyone needs to drop, duck and cover the back of their head and neck until an administrator or emergency personnel says it is safe to evacuate.

    LOCK DOWN:
You will know that a school-wide lock down is currently in effect if you hear a voice (usually the principal) come over the intercom to announce that “Mr. Lincoln is in the building”. Once this announcement has been made, students may no longer leave the gym, and you should be sure that all doors and windows are locked. Unfortunately, I do not have window shades to block visibility into the gym. I feel it is best to have the students sit opposite of the window wall and practice their juggling skills while in a seated position.

    IMPORTANT NOTES:

•    Emergency supplies can be found in my red backpack hanging near the           West doorway.
