Daniel Bagley S.T.I.N.G.
Daniel Bagley's extreme tumbling & performance team is back for another exciting season! Coached by Mr. Millsap and other volunteers, this program is
intended to teach new skills and build self-co
nfidence. Students can also expect to experience a real
"team" environment while they focus on individual skills. This team meets Wednesdays after school from 3:05-4:15. Due to the incredible interest in this program,
students must meet specific skill requirements to enter.
Skill
Requirements- Students must perform one of the following:
1) Hold a Handstand for Your Age
2)
30 + Push-Ups.
(*Modifications can be made to these requirements. Especially for those who are really working hard!!!)

Daniel Bagley's
Health & Fitness program is excited to welcome Ms. DeJong. Ms. DeJong is a student intern from Seattle Pacific University.
She also comes to us from Lynden, the same hometown as Mr. Millsap. Ms. DeJong has already shown great enthusiasm and commitment
to working with our students, and we are lucky to have her with us until mid March.
Please be sure to stop by and introduce yourself to Ms. DeJong. In addition
to teaching Health & Fitness classes, Ms. DeJong will also assist with morning and afternoon bus duty and recess and lunchtime
supervision. She will also oversee the lost & found area. Thanks for all you do for Daniel Bagley Ms. DeJong!
MONDAY, DECEMBER 1st
Health & Fitness Reports!
All students can expect to receive a Health & Fitness Report in the next few weeks. Students will review
this data in class and have a chance to reflect on individual strengths and weaknesses and create
personal goals for the following trimester. The H&F Report contains class information and student data in three main areas:
1.
Student Learning
2. Student Fitness
3. Student Conduct
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 3rd
Fitness Testing Comes To A Finish!
Students at Daniel Bagley have spent the last two weeks performing various
fitness tests while in Health & Fitness classes. Each test is designed to assess the following areas of fitness:
Body Composition - Height Measurement
Cardio-Respiratory Endurance - Mile Run/Walk
Flexibility - Sit & Reach Stretch
Muscular Endurance - 60 Second Curl-Ups
Muscular Strength - Push-Ups
Scores from these tests have been recorded and will be available
to view on end-of-the-trimester student reports. Further, students will use this data to create future fitness goals. Be sure

The Jogathon Is Coming!

We are only weeks away from our annual Jogathon. This event is always
a student favorite. Plan to join the hundreds of other students, teachers, parents and community members who will be jogging
their way around the back playground on Friday, September 26th. All completed laps will directly benefit DBE classrooms and
